

She was a 2nd generation Austinite, born at the old Seton Hospital previously located near 26th and Rio Grande St. In her early years, she lived across the street from the Oakwood Cemetery in the 1800 block of Navasota St, until her family moved behind St. Louis Catholic Church while she was in the 8th grade. She was a very busy child, babysitting all the time until she got her license and started working at the Hancock shopping center where her High School sweetheart Henry who would visit her at work all the time. She met Henry while attending the old Lanier High School, now Burnet Jr. High, as a freshman and they married a year after she graduated High School. She attended a year of college prior to getting married, then had her two sons while working for the state of Texas, eventually returning to attend night school until she was accepted to The University of Texas.
She was a graduate from the University of Texas school of Business Administration with a degree in Accounting. She was always proud she was able to pass the Certified Public Accounting exam on the first attempt. After graduation she worked as a CPA for the accounting firm Stephen R Wood & Co., P.C. and then Maxwell, Locke & Ritter LLP. Anita was a long time member of the Rotary Club of Austin and St. Albert the Great Catholic Church’s Great Club. While she loved socializing with interesting people, she also enjoyed traveling the world. She had visited most of the United States, the countries of Europe; and had a special trip to Uganda with members of her church.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Henry Motloch, her parents Joseph and Carolyn Moritz and sister Mary Moritz. She is survived by her two sons, Chris and Mike Motloch; expected grandson Wyatt; brother Joseph Moritz and sister Cindy Webb.
A visitation for Anita will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St Albert the Great Catholic Church, 12041 Bittern Hollow, Austin, Texas 78758. A reception will occur Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St Albert the Great Catholic Church, 12041 Bittern Hollow, Austin, Texas 78758. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Oakwood Annex Cemetery, 1600 Comal Street, Austin, Texas 78702.
