

Mr. Corna was born on September 11, 1933 in Danbury, Ct. and was the son of Beatrice and Anthony B. Corna Sr. of New Milford CT. and was married to the late Diane Flynn Corna. Mr. Corna lived in in New Milford, CT until retiring to the Venice, FL area in 1987.
He served in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant during the Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 1672 in New Milford, CT where he served as Commander. He was also a Commandant of the Odd Fellows Lodge of New Milford, CT. He worked for the Berkshire Transformer Corporation in Kent, CT and Nestle in New Milford, before his retirement and move to Florida. He moved from Venice, FL to Austin, TX in 2008. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and a proud participant in the Searcher’s Sunday School class.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David A. and Bonnie M. Corna of Austin, TX; daughter Christy M. Corna and her partner Ursula Jorch of Asheville, NC; grandchildren Jessica Corna and fiance Adam Barta of Austin, TX, and Sarah and Eric Peterson of Reno, NV; and two great-granddaughters Isabella and Teagan Peterson; a sister, Elsie “Candy” Backus.
Mr. Corna was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Diane Flynn Corna; sisters Beatrice, Charlotte and Dorothy.

A Memorial Celebration of Life followed by a reception will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Bethany United Methodist Church , Anderson Mill Rd., Austin. TX.
