He was born in Henderson Kentucky on June 26, 1940.
He served in the United States Air Force for 22 ½ years and retired from Bergstrom Air Force Base. His most recent occupation was a Mail Handler for the United States Postal Service.
He is survived by his son, Derek Hatchett; daughters, Stephanie McCowan and Kimberly Hatchett; brothers, John W. Hatchett, James W. Hatchett (Gwendolyn), Paul Hatchett (Wila); sisters, Joyce Calhoun (Morris); Carolyn Thompson (Nathaniel); two grandchildren; two son-in-laws and a host of niece/nephews, family and friends.
Preceded in death by his bride, Dorothy Hatchett; sisters, Rosa Lee McGuire, Mary Lucas, Clara Hairlsen; brother, Melvin Hatchett.
