Belinda Marie Dougherty passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on November 30, 1949, in Austin, Texas, to Lorraine Pierce and Vernon Dyer, and was raised in the West Lake Hills area.
Belinda found great joy in the outdoors and especially loved spending her free time hunting and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne Dougherty; her mother, Lorraine Pierce; her stepfather, Edward Pierce; her father, Vernon Dyer; and her siblings, Vernon Wayne Dyer, Carolyn Dyer, Billy Childress, Lynnwood Pierce, and Bill Pierce.
Belinda is lovingly remembered by her children: Cappie Kelley of Austin, Texas; Tammie Kelley and son-in-law, John Kistner of Voca, Texas; Jonnie Kelley of Fort Collins, Colorado; Leon Kelley of Voca, Texas; She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her siblings: Faye Davis of Austin, Texas; Rita Mize of Belton, Texas; and Jim Pierce of Cedar Park, Texas.
A visitation service will be held on May 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, located at 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749. This will be followed by a committal service at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
