Billie Elaine Clawson Kelly

Billie "Elaine" Clawson Kelly was called home by the Father, after a battle with cancer. She departed this world at Round Rock Hospital on June 6, 2013 at 8:35 pm. Elaine will be missed by all who knew her.

Elaine was born on September 6, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Albert Charles Clawson Jr. and Mary Elaine Clawson. Elaine was the big sister to Mary Lynn and Stan Randall, Albert Charles Clawson III, and John Darryll and Vivian Clawson. She was a devoted mother and step-mother to Erica Kelley-Rangel, LaCrisea Kelley, Laura and Allen Seiler, and Kenny Kelly. She was blessed to have been the grandmother to nine grandchildren: Krisitin and Andrew Shafer, Kaitlyn and Kevin Maxwell, Errin Kelley-Estrada, Kayley, Gracen and Aubrey Seiler and Mona Torres. She is the proud great-grandmother to: Kassidy Maxwell, Miles Shafer and Jazmyne, Joseph and Jemini Torres. Elaine will be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family member and beloved friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Ken Richard Kelly and her father Albert Charles Clawson Jr.

Elaine was a graduate of Austin High School Class of 1966. She worked for many years in the medical field as a service representative for Harris Publishing Company, retiring in 2009. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She found comfort in caring for her beloved dog Gizmo. Elaine also loved spending time on the beaches throughout the United States.

Elaine's faith in God was present throughout her life. As a small child Elaine reached the rank of Queen with Scepter in the girl's auxiliary at Hide Park Baptist Church. She was an active member of the church choir where she attended and performed at the New York World's Fair and the capital in Washington D.C. Elaine currently attended Sunrise Community church where volunteered in the children's church program. She also enjoyed the woman's group and retreats.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Service 10:00 am on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Bastrop, Texas.
