Bonnie Finley

Bonnie Rae Graham, beloved wife of John Finley, was born May 2nd, 1931 in Ottumwa, Iowa and went to heaven on Good Friday, April 2nd, 2010. She married John M. Finley on May 3rd, 1951 at Ridglea Presbyterian Church in Ft. Worth, Texas. After their marriage John and Bonnie lived in Hillsboro, Texas for many years. In 1984 they moved to Austin, Texas. Bonnie is a member of Berkeley United Methodist Church in Austin, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, John M. Finley; and four children and their spouses, Nancy Page and Olen Wardlaw, Teresa Louise and Gary Whiteley, Wm. Neil and Tanna Finley, and Laura Roxanne and Davey Helton. They have twelve grandchildren, Christopher Wardlaw, Jeffery Wardlaw, Mrs. Rebecca Morales, John Cloud, David Cloud, Nikki Cloud, Mrs. Kathryn Hoelscher, Lauren Finley, Mallory Finley, Nathaniel Finley, Mrs. Megan Thomas, Heather Helton; and three great-grandchildren, Tanner Wardlaw, Deacon Hoelscher, and Wyatt Wardlaw.

Throughout her life, Bonnie was greatly loved by all who knew her. She was an accomplished artist and taught painting in the “Paint Box”, her private school for many years in Hillsboro, Texas.

Bonnie cared for everyone around her and will be greatly missed by all. She enriched the lives of her family, her friends and those who helped her in her final illness.

Although Bonnie is no longer with us, our memories will sustain and warm us for the rest of our lives. We are confident that she is now in Jesus’ arms and God has her in his loving care.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Berkeley United Methodist Church, 2407 Berkeley Avenue with visitation at 1:00 p.m. and the service following at 2:00 p.m. There will be a reception after the service at the church.
