Born on October 7, 1982, in Port Arthur Texas, to Eddy Brammer, Sr. and Sandra Kay Mallet Brammer, Brandon was raised in Nederland. He spent his childhood playing baseball, riding bikes and exploring ‘the woods’ with neighborhood friends on Avenue D, swimming at Honey’s whenever he had the chance, riding four wheelers at the deer camp, drawing and creating artwork, and spent countless hours mastering ‘The Legend of Zelda’ on the Nintendo. Brandon looked forward to spending Christmas Eve at his Granny and Paw Paw’s house, where cheese enchiladas were non-negotiable. He also had a special fondness for Luby’s on Thanksgiving.
Brandon was involved in many activities throughout his school years, beginning with Student Council and later joining the yearbook staff in high school. As a teenager, Brandon loved spending time with friends, especially Sarah and Mel, going to Incubus concerts, and creating picture walls in his room that showcased his friends, his family, and all of his favorite adventures. It was also during this time that he discovered a lasting love for No Doubt, Gwen Stefani, and the black-and-white checker pattern.
After graduating high school in 2001, he moved to Austin, a city that quickly became home and one he never left. It was there that Brandon met his husband, Bernie Lofaso Jr., the love of his life. They shared 16 transformative years together, a once-in-a-lifetime bond marked by being opposites in many ways yet they were perfectly aligned where it mattered most. Their relationship was rooted in mutual growth, deep respect, and an enduring love that never wavered. Together, they built a happy life side by side with their beloved cats and frequently volunteered at Austin Pets Alive!.
Brandon was smart, creative, generous, and full of spirit, with a wonderful sense of humor. He had a soft heart, an infectious laugh, loved deeply, and cared for others with his whole heart. He left a lasting impact on everyone he met, and he will be treasured and profoundly missed ‘Always & Forever.’
Left to cherish Brandon’s memory are his brother, Eddie Jr., sister-in-law, Dustie, and niece, Ellis Ann Brammer, of Weatherford; grandfather, Buddy Brammer of Nederland; best friend, Sarah Hale McCall, and her sons and his nephews, John Allen McCall and William Thomas McCall of Nederland; his four beloved cats: Boston, Meowma, Link, and Louis; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Brandon touched the lives of many and he was very loved.
Brandon was preceded in death by his husband, Bernie Lofaso, Jr.; mother, Sandra Mallet Brammer; father, Eddy Brammer, Sr.; grandmother, Eldora Brammer; grandfather, Emmett Mallet; grandmother, Carolyn Klecka; uncle, Danny Mallet; and great grandparents, A.L. and Margaret Frugé and Albert and Dora Brammer.
In keeping with Brandon’s wishes, no services will be held.
