It is my distinct privilege to write this message and tribute in honor of my mother Carey Ann Damuth.
Carey Ann Damuth breathed her soul away into her savior's arms and was taken to her heavenly home on November 6, 2015.
Born on November 13, 1951 in Austin,Texas. She was welcomed into this world by her loving parents Jack and Francis Hanson; later to be joined by her sister Kay Peterson, her brother David Hanson and was loved by an abundance of other family members . Her Christian upbringing, childhood inspiration and spirit of loving sacrifice led her to her passion in life. After graduating Lanier High School in 1969, she went on to attend the prestigious Texas Woman's University to realize her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse.
After many years of romance and love letters she married her high school sweetheart, soulmate and love of her life Larry Damuth in 1971. Completing her medical training in 1974 she immediately began carving out a path to create for herself a well-rounded and accomplished career as a Registered Nurse, primarily devoting 34 loyal years to Seton Hospital.
Following years of an exciting young marriage; Carey joined her husband Larry on the journey of starting a family by affectionately adopting daughter Summer Damuth and later son Mathew "Colter" Damuth.
With Larry eternally by her side and staying true to her unending magnanimous and vivacious nature, she raised two children that will forever be grateful and have been made better people for her gracious willingness to teach, innumerable memories shared, her charming wit and magnificent optimism. In 2003 she began to bestowing these same gifts to her granddaughter Ellie Damuth.
It is much more than a loving memory that will live on tenaciously in the hearts of those who loved her.
With her own words and in according to her steadfast faith and love for God …
"Don't worry, we will see each other again soon."
Her burial service and the celebration of her life will be held at the Mostyn-Damuth family cemetery on the prairie near Magnolia Texas.
