Carl Bluhm of Austin, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 25 at the age of 72. He was born on March 13, 1953 in Towanda, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Dallas, TX in 1963 where he attended Thomas Jefferson High school and graduated in 1971.
He moved to Wyoming and later Denver, Colorado for a few years before returning to Dallas to be near his family. He met his wife Patty Bluhm in Dallas where they lived before moving to Austin in 1984.
He earned an associate degree in Electronics from Eastfield College in Dallas – but he spent most of his career in Dallas and Austin working in HVAC and commercial refrigeration.
He loved being in nature – he loved sailing for the challenge of working with the elements and the peacefulness of being on the water. He was also an avid hunter. Spending quiet time communing with nature was his favorite activity.
Carl is preceded in death by his mother Flora, his father Gerald and his sister Susan.
He is survived by his wife Patty and his sisters Charlotte and Samantha.
