Carole Ruth Black

Carole Ruth Castle was born on August 30th, 1952 to Betty Ann Brooke and Colonel Edmund Castle. Carole quickly earned the nickname Boo from her brother Albert and throughout the years, many only knew her as Boo. After moving around, as most military families did, the Castle family settled in El Paso, Tx where Boo graduated from Irvin High School in 1970. She went on to attend classes at the University of Texas at El Paso.

Boo met the love of her life John Anthony "Tony" Black in 1976 and they quickly married. Boo and Tony moved to Austin, Tx shortly after to start their married life together. While Tony worked, Boo became a housewife and eventually a doggie mom. She had a passion for all animals and adopted many throughout the years. She was also an amazingly gifted and talented artist dabbling with projects from painting to wedding cakes.

Boo is preceded in death by both her parents, her brother Albert, and her husband Tony. She is survived by brother Richard (Maria) Castle of Tempe, AZ, sisters Janet (Bill) Eschenbrenner of El Paso, TX, Lori (Jack) Briggs of Buda, TX, sister-in-law Pam (Johnny) Billingslea, nephews Edmund (Laura) Castle, Marcus (Tina) Castle, nieces Barbara (Andrew) Bandura, Ashley (Michael) Abernethy, Amy (Jason) Belinsky, Asper Robles, Gaby Loving, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
