Carolyn McManus, age 57, passed away Monday, January 15th in Austin, Texas following an inspiring battle with lung cancer. She died as gracefully as she lived everyday of her life. She was surrounded by family and went very peacefully. She was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Paula and survived by her beloved second father, John Gamble. She is also survived by her daughter, Kimberlee Combs, Kim's husband Kidd and their two "high-spirited" sons - Max and Spence (who are just like their Ya-Ya). She is also survived by her beloved soul mate, Ronnie Harris, twin sister Marolyn Smith, brother Kit Campbell, five wonderful nieces and nephews (Chrissy, Kitsy, Scott, Chad, and Amy), and a beautiful network of extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Carolyn's MD Anderson doctor, Dr. Daniel Karp, who is working so hard everyday to find a cure for lung cancer. A celebration of her life will be planned soon. If you would like to make a contribution, please make them to: Thoracic Research Fund at MD Anderson c/o Dr. Daniel Karp P.O.
