Celeste Bertrand Wright

Celeste Bertrand Wright, 77, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in Round Rock, Texas. She was born on March 12, 1938, to Fay Louis Bertrand and Elizabeth Rose Bradley Bertrand.

Celeste was a breast cancer & lung cancer survivor. She loved working in her yard, feeding the birds, cats & wild animals. Her hobby was photography & riding on the back of motorcycles when she had the opportunity. She planted beautiful gardens both flowers & vegetables. Music was important to her. She loved & supported so many local musicians.

Celeste was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Wright; brother, David Bertrand; and sister, Lou Heuer. She will be sadly missed by her daughters; Laura Goldenschue and husband Tommy, and Leslie Quisenberry; grandchildren, Nathaniel Goldenschue, Crystal Medrano and husband, Alfonzo, John Quisenberry and wife, Kelly, and Stephanie Quisenberry; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Medrano, Courtney Medrano, and Brandon Medrano; sister, Debbie Taubert and husband, Hopper; brother-in-law, Harry Heuer; uncle, Frank Bradley and wife, Joanne; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 4, 2016, in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

Honoring Celeste as pallbearers will be Nathan Goldenschue, John Quisenberry, Tommy Goldenschue, Ben Peterson, Alfonzo Medrano, and Robert “Hopper” Taubert.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Celeste’s memory to her favorite charities that include Relay for Life, Breast Cancer Resource Center – BCRC, or Amber's Angels.
