Charlene Bennett

Charlene was born on May 3, 1943 in Austin, TX to Charles and Vivian Hausenfluke. She graduated in 1961 from McCallum High School in Austin. On February 26, 1965, she married Joseph Scott Bennett. They raised one son, Chuck.

Charlene was your “Tupperware Lady" for 35 years after working briefly for the U.S. Army's VIII Corps and the Texas Highway Department. Charlene loved the movie Dirty Dancing and her cat calendars but what or who she loved most was her granddaughter, Caitlin. Charlene would point out to visitors her electronic picture frame and all her favorite photos of Caitlin.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Vivian. She is survived by her husband Scott of over 57-years, her son, and daughter in-law, Chuck and Missy, her granddaughter, Caitlin, her sister, Barbara, and her nephew and niece in-law, Rusty and Kellie.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 21st from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Weed Corley-Fish Funeral Home on 5416 Parkcrest Dr., Austin, TX 78731.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 22nd at Weed Corley-Fish Funeral Home on 5416 Parkcrest Dr., Austin, TX 78731 at 10:30 A.M. Burial to follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery on 14501 North Interstate Highway 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
