

Charlene Meta Borders Charlene Meta Moore Borders departed this life to be with her Lord on October 3, 2003. She was born to Leo and Rena Moore on May 1, 1926 in Austin, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Theresa Olson and husband Dennis, Lisa Davis, Jayne Narro, Cynthia Manchaca and husband Tim, Laurie Alvarez and husband Michael, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Fiscus; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Moore and wife Marie; sisters, Shirley Henzen and husband Jerry, and Barbara Castleberry and husband Danny; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence (L.D.) Borders, Jr.; sons, Stephen Fiscus and Leo (Bubba) Fiscus; brothers, Leo Moore, Bill Moore, and Ira Donald Moore; and sisters, Catherine Bassett, Anna Butler, Dorothy Polvado, and Adeline Moore. As a young woman, she was employed by Lammes Candies and Scarbroughs, of which she shared many fond memories. She dedicated her life to her family, her greatest joys in life coming from her grandchildren. She lavished them with tender, loving care and affection. She adored them and they, her. Mother was the epitome of love, beauty, and strength. She loved life and her Lord. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2003, at St. Ignatius, Martyr Catholic Church, Reverend Paul Puduserry as celebrant. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Laurence Tokaz for his many years of superb care and support.
