I believe my wife Leslie and I may have been Chuck's final client with our unusual backyard project.  We so wish that we had been able to know him much longer.  Even through his physical battles over these last 18 months, many of which we now know were very difficult, Chuck was patient, persevering, positive and professional.   His kind spirit and very capable knowledge are what encouraged us to move forward with it in the first place.  Now complete, we loved that Virginia instructed him to send his spirit over it once he left his earthly body.  His presence will always be remembered by us.   

It was only recently that I learned just how many common friends we had, he touched a lot of souls.   Virginia, thank you for your care of Chuck over these last months, he had a true friend and soulmate in you.  God bless you Chuck.

I met Chuck at UT. He was always in a good mood except when he hit a bad tennis shot.  In the past several years I reunited we Chuck and had the pleasure of catching up, swapping stories and enjoying each other’s memories. I ask him if he considered going to college somewhere other than UT. He said yes, he applied to Stanford University and they offered him a full academic scholarship for 4 years. WOW, we chatted about it and I asked him if he ever regretted not taking it.  He responded, “ No, I know I made the right decision because if I had gone there I never would have met you guys. “  Total class, a pleasure to be around. He told Lana and I when we visited last not to be sad when he passed so I said OK, but I am sure gonna miss you, he responded, “you better!”  He faced the end with courage and dignity, zero bitterness. An example to us all. Godspeed, we will All miss you.
