

Charles Richard “Charlie” Silguero, 53, passed peacefully at his home on Monday, June 3, 2013. He was born on August 22, 1959 in Houston, TX where he spent most of his childhood. The family then moved to Pharr, TX where he graduated from Pharr-San Juan Alamo High School in 1977 and played football for the PSJA Bears.
Charlie then moved to Austin in 1979 where he worked at the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. Years later, he joined the Terminex Sales Force, where he met many lifelong friends. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and UT Longhorns. Charlie’s passion was coaching and watching his kids and grandkids at their sporting events. After moving to Cedar Park, TX in the mid ‘80’s, he became well known in the community for his involvement in youth sporting activities.
He is predeceased by his father Gregory F. Silguero, just 2 months ago. He is survived by three sons, Christopher Silguero (Betty), Blake, and Taylor Silguero, and one daughter, Kristen, all from Cedar Park. He also has 3 grandchildren from Cedar Park; Austin, Tyler, Lauren, and Luke Silguero. He is survived by his mother Emma Silguero, a brother Perry (JoEllyn) from Austin and 2 sisters, Corrine Silguero and Gina Galvagni both from Dallas. Also left to cherish his memory are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening, on Sunday, the 9th of June 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A celebration of life will be held at half passed one in the afternoon on Monday, the 10th of June 2013, at Hill Country Bible Church, 12124 620 North, Austin, Texas 78750, under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
