Chris Walker Van Ryswyk went home to Jesus and his mom and dad, Shirley Elaine Walker Van Ryswyk and Carl Wayne Van Ryswyk, on the morning of January 24, 2025. He was our very beloved baby brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend to everyone. He was the most beautiful picture of unconditional love! He loved everyone! He is now in heaven having the time of his life now fully functioning and probably talking everyone's ear off! The Lord only made one Chris and we were all blessed to have him in our family! Sixty years ago our parents made the courageous decision to keep Chris at home and raise him even though the doctors suggested otherwise. He was always known by his quick smile, his hymnal and his Diet Coke. He was the biggest Texas Longhorn fan too, always insisting on wearing burnt orange everyday. He also loved his Park Hills Baptist Church family.
Chris is survived by his sister Carla Dillard and husband Steve, his brother Jeff Van Ryswyk and wife Kim, his twin brother Craig Van Ryswyk and Sheila Van Ryswyk. And also his nephews and nieces, Stephen Dillard and Brandon Bellar, Callie and William Banowsky, Daniel and Sandy Dillard, Vandell Van Ryswyk, Caleb Van Ryswyk, Baylee Van Ryswyk, Lauren and Logan Gwin, Paige Van Ryswyk, Walker Van Ryswyk. And his bonus family Teresa Morgan and Kouassi and Nathalie Fofie. He also was so loved by his great nephews and nieces, Prisca Fofie, Salomon Fofie, Benjamin Bellar-Dillard, Elijah Bellar-Dillard, Ella Jane Morgan, Micah Dillard, Elizabeth Bellar-Dillard, Blair Banowsky, Evelyn Dillard, Stephen Fofie, Ethan Dillard, Aidan Dillard and William Banowsky. He is also survived by his uncle and aunts John Van Ryswyk and Kay, and Ila Walker.
