Pt 3. Tina, Mi Primita, it was a pleasure and an honor to  have taken care of Ryan for the first few years of his life, you entrusted me with your most precious treasure, your Baby Boy. I’m blessed to have been there for you. Again, I saw you everyday for years, that moment in time, we got closer.
I know in my heart that you’re looking over the balconies of heaven, watching over your beautiful babies, Ryan, Erica, Leiyah, and Baby Ryan.
 Today, I’m so blessed and thankful bc of the seed of The Word of God You had down in Your corazon!

Cont’ so I took you, it was your first concert, I remember feeling so protective over you, holding your arm tight as we crossed the mob of people that crowed the street that in Spring night of 85.
In our last text (last month) we reminisced about that concert, you told me, you still remembered it 
and had a good time!

I remember every Christmas when we made tamales at Grandma’s casa, you were still too young to help, but that didn’t stop you from putting in your tamale order. Grandma would make a special batch of tamales just for you, tamales without meat, masa only. Grandma labeled them, “Tina’s Special Tamales”! You were definitely special to all of us and touch each family member in your own special way, especially me, because, GURL…I wouldn’t wear a Pepto-Bismol outfit for just anyone, but only for You, Primita!

                                         THE FAMILY
I literally just heard this last week and it cracked me up, I laughed so hard, You all know how quick witted, opinionated Tina could be, she had a funny, crazy, harmless sense of humor, even as a little girl!

The day Tina met Joel, my future husband, she was 9, Joel and I were sitting in the backyard, I get up to go into the house and low and behold who comes from around the corner Tina, I think she must of been laying in wait to facetiously pounce Joel in my absence!
mind you  I’m still inside, Tina goes up to Joel and instead of saying, Hi, I’m Tina, or I’m Shelly’s cousin, or what’s your name, Tina walks up to him, with her hands on her waist, 
checks him out, then tells him straight up, “Your Not Even Cute”! Even at 9 years old, Tina was already sassy, facetious and ballsy! OMG, was she Ballsy!! To know Tina is to love Her. From that day forward, Tina razzed Joel and would give him a hard time Jokingly in one way or another, but always with a big grin on her face! it’s not bc she didn’t care for him, but I think, she was crushing on him!

                      

Oh, gracious Heavenly Father, we come humbly to Your throne of grace, asking for mercy, peace and comfort for Tina’s family, especially Ryan, Erica, Leiyah, and Baby Ryan. Dear Lord God, grant US Your strength, power, wisdom & understanding to get through these grieving, sorrowful and hard days, remind Us of her smiling face, her witty personality, when we get sad, bring to our remembrance of the many wonderful, precious memories, the  good times we were blessed to have shared with the ONE we love, Amen.
                   MY PRIMITA-TINA
I was your only girl cousin and you were my only Primita on the Barrera side. I remember you following me around at Grandma’s casa when you were little, I saw you everyday for many years, you were like a little sister to me and CaIios I know you looked up to me, and I never minded having you around, bc you were always so funny, rambunctious, clowning around being silly, and making your infamous funny faces!

I remember You, Danny and I, playing hide n seek, jacks, we played with Danny’s caritos, his marbles, we’d play paper dolls. Well not Danny, hmmm🤔okay, maybe Danny! Lol 

I remember when we all pile in your Mom’s red station wagon for many food runs, she even once took a lot of us Francisco Street kids to Bartholomew, swimming, that was fun. I remember the late night donut runs to Dunkin Donuts on Congress, or to Mrs Johnson’s Bakery on Airport. on Fridays, payday, we all get in the red station wagon, your Mom would drive to 3 different food places, bc everyone wanted something different, some of our choices, Ol Fashion hamburgers 5 for a dollar, (Grandma’s choice) Church’s Chicken, or Johnny Boys and on Saturdays we’d go to Howard’s bbq for the best sausages, and there You were PRIMITA, in the mix, all in the mess, never skipping a beat, you were always the first one in the car, and the youngest of the Barrera Tribe.

This is so heartbreaking. Dear, Tina...I will miss talking and laughing with you about our kids and grand kids. You were such a great woman. I am honestly devastated. I will keep your family in my prayers and always remember the good times we shared. RIParadise Queen.

My deepest condolences to the Fabian family. I will always remember when I would see Tina and her queen after mass ready to eat breakfast. That was years ago but will never forget Tina having that big smile. Rest in peace sweet Tina. Fly high with angels.

Chris (aka…Tina) I am at a complete loss for words.  I can’t believe you are no longer here but I know you are rocking the heavens with all our loved ones who have gone before us.  We were childhood best friends and more like sisters than we were ever friends.  I have so many amazing memories of us growing up together, literally since we were in diapers.  We had some really awesome times.  You had so many people who loved and adored you and life may never be the same for some us ever again. I will always hang on tight to those memories, love you and hold you close in my heart.  You were a devoted daughter, a loving mother and biggest fan to your babies who you loved with your entire heart and the Beat Grandma ever to your beautiful Grandbabies that you so adored with all your might.  I am sad that it had been a while that you and I had sat and spent one on one time together, however I am happy that we did have the opportunity to chat and catch up via phone. You were a person with a big heart, an incredible sense of humor and you were one that rowed her boat like no other.  May you  Rest In Peace my friend until we see each other again. Tina was a beautiful down to earth person. We would talk about how much Austin has changed and talk about all the best breakfast tacos places in East Austin. She was so funny and sweet. She will be missed but we will see her again. God Bless.

I will miss her post on Facebook of her cute tennis shoes, family and faith. Tina was a fun loving person and she will be missed. God be with all who loved her at this time.
