

Sunrise December 21, 1977 Sunset October 18, 2009 Christopher "Chach" Dawn, 31, of Austin, passed away on October 18, 2009. Christopher George Dawn was born December 21, 1977 in Levelland, Texas, to Ruthie B. Dawn and George G. Paxton. He was raised in Brownfield, Texas where his stepfather, Howard Daniel Ward, lovingly made him his own. He attended school in Brownfield and Lubbock, Texas and obtained his High School Diploma in Austin, Texas. He attended Capital Trade School attempting to obtain a degree as an electrician. He also attended ACC. Christopher professed his faith in Christ at an early age uniting with New Hope Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas. As a young man he united with Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church where he attended whenever opportunity allowed, under the leadership of his Pastor, Dr. Phillip W. Wallace. Christopher leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Ruthie Ward of Austin, Texas, father, George Paxton of Levelland, Texas, step-father, Daniel Ward of Brownfield, Texas. One special person, Glenda, of Austin, Texas, his cousin/brother, Bradford Childers, daughter, Britney Nolan of Brownfield, Texas, sisters, Georgia Dawn of Austin, Texas, Raven Dawn and DeShawn Ward of Lubbock, Texas, very special niece, Whitney Dawn of Lubbock, Texas, his aunts, uncles, cousins, other nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Dorothy Mitchell, uncle, Clifton Mitchell, aunt, Rose Mitchell, and special cousin, Kevin Mitchell. Chris lived a Life with a Spirit of excellence and made a huge impact on the lives of all who entered his sphere of influence. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish South Congress. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish South Congress, 2620 S. Congress Ave.
