

Cora Ellen Harber Caffey, 66, of Cedar Creek, Texas passed away May 14, 2015. She was born September 8th 1948 in Waco, Texas. She was baptized as Lutheran in 1953. She moved to Austin, Texas. as a child with her mother Margaret Harber and siblings Kelly and Kathy. She attended Fulmore Junior High and Travis High School. She married and had her children Larry, Stacy and Thomas. She later met Ronnie Bittle, her lifelong partner.
Cora worked at Farmers insurance for more than 30 years and Horizon for ten. She made many friends through her work and neighbors in Spicewood. She was known as a straight forward, tell it like it is kind of woman and was loved for that and so much more. She was a steady and solid force at the office. Always had buckets of candy on top of her desk and lots of stuff under her desk. The kids called her the candy lady when they would visit her office. Always good for a laugh with a funny story. She never sugar coated it. She was wonderful and caring and you always knew where you stood with her. She loved when the kids and grandkids would come to the office and visit and even had treats for the pups. She loved animals and was a regular donor to several charities including, most recently, The Leisure Cat (T.L.C.) Animal Rescue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Sarah Clara Sagebiel Harber and Gibson "Butch" Harber; and Sister Margaret Kathryn Furr Turner.
She is survived by her spouse, Ronnie Bittle; son, Larry Caffey, son, Thomas Caffey and his wife Melissa Caffey; daughter, Stacy Winscott and her husband Norman Winscott; grandchildren, Chad Caffey, Brad Caffey, Wesley Puderbaugh, Steven Puderbaugh, Ashlee Munson, Christopher Puderbaugh, Trevor Caffey, Joshua Caffey, Mason Caffey; great grandchildren Aiden Tarbox and Brantley Caffey. She will also be mourned by her coworkers, extended family and friends who loved her and always considered her their Coco.
Funeral Services will be Saturday 10:00 A.M. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress. Interment will follow at Fall Creek Cemetery, Spicewood, Texas.
