Dan had a lifetime of military and federal government service, spanning over 45 years. He served in Air Force Intelligence, often recalling fond memories of his time in the military. While stationed in South Korea, Dan met and eventually married Min-Kang, and over the course of fifteen years, they had three sons together. Dan was passionate about politics, and served as a member of the City Council in Kyle, Texas. He enjoyed working with his hands, fixing cars, and doing projects around the house. His favorite pastime was spending time with his feline companions. Later in life, as grandparents do, Dan enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and giving them gifts. Throughout his life, Dan never met a stranger, and could carry a conversation with the best of them.
Dan is predeceased by his wife, Min-Kang. He is survived by his three sons, Ralph, David, and Keith, as well as his grandchildren, Chloe and Madelyn.
A visitation for Dan will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with the funeral service to follow Monday, November 8, 2021 at 4:00 PM, at Weed-Corley Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704.
