Daniela “Kim” Standridge, of Dripping Springs, TX, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at the age of 67 in the presence of her loving husband. She was a devoted wife to Alan Gail Standridge for 47 years.
She was a loving mother and foster mother to 14 foster children, 2 adoptive children, and 3 biological children. Coming to know Christ as her Savior, becoming a wife, and a mother were some of her proudest, most defining moments.
Kim was born on February 27, 1958, in Lexington, KY. She was the oldest child to Buddy and Lee Farris. After leaving high school she began her musical legacy by being accepted into the UT Choral Department. From there she directed children’s church choirs and to this day continues to pass down her love of music to her family.
Over the years, Kim battled various health issues, including Corticobasal Degeneration, which she ultimately succumbed to. Through it all, she never lost her love of music and her faith and devotion to Christ even singing praises to God confined to her hospital bed for 3 years while on hospice.
Kim was predeceased by two of her infant children, Christopher Alan and Jonathan Eric, and her parents Buddy and Leonore Farris.
She will be grievously missed by her children, Kristina (daughter) and (husband Justin) Miranda, Kasey (daughter) and (husband Curtis) Wells and Miguel Standridge(son). Tina Farris (sister) and (husband Brian Clapper). Rodney Farris (brother) and Paula Segura and her 2 grandchildren Kylie and Kelton Wells.
And to all those that our mother fostered and loved, you will always be her cherished sons and daughters. She loved you very, very much.
The family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 11 a.m. on Thursday May 15, 2025, with a celebration of Kim's life to follow at 1p.m. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park concluding at 2 p.m.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to friends and relatives for their thoughts, prayers, and support during this time. The family has also chosen to honor Kim in the furthering of research towards her illness, and to help others with similar life-altering, terminal neurodegenerative diseases by donating her brain organ to UT Health San Antonio’s Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s & Neurodegenerative Diseases. It was Kim’s godly calling and legacy to help those suffering, those with disabilities and all those in need.
