Darrell Tedford

James Darrell Leroy Tedford born on February 16,1932 in Quitman County, MS to Daniel & Mary Eudine Tedford. Darrell passed from this life into eternity on November 1, 2011 in Austin, TX. Darrell joined the Army at age 17 and also served in the National Guard. Darrell was very proud of his military service and over the years he attended several reunions with his troop. Darrell moved to Texas in 1959 with Singer Sewing and was the National Salesperson for the company. He lived in Houston and Waco and then moved to Austin where he owned and operated Truckline Freight from 1969-1978. Darrell then started a flooring business, Tedford Distributing at 9206 United Drive in Austin, TX that is still operating today under the management of his brother Leyman Tedford. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Daniel Doyle Tedford, Dwight Tedford, and Larry Tedford. He is survived by his siblings, Dorothy Jones, Doris Jean Young, Diance Moore, Leyman Tedford, and Sandra Barnett. Darrell has five children, Randell Tedford and his wife Diane, Daria Lynn Combs and her husband Ed, Dana Nodler and her husband Richard, James Tedford Jr., and Leyman Tedford and his wife Cindie. Darrell was blessed in life with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear friend and caregiver Juanita Munoz.
