Dick was a 1982 graduate of Western Hills High School in Frankfort and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1986. An electrical engineer, he moved in 1989 from Frankfort to Austin where he worked for IBM and then later Intel.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Kavanaugh Dick, of Frankfort, and his sister, Dana Dick Moore, of Nicholasville. His father was the late George Dick, a Berea native. His paternal grandparents were the late Arthur and Alice Dick of Berea, and his maternal grandparents were the late George and Lyda Kavanaugh, who also spent many years living in Berea.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 4, at 11:00 am at the Berea Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his father, grandparents and uncle. Pallbearers will be nephew Jonathan Moore, brother-in-law Chris Moore, and cousins Jerry Dick, Stephen Dick, Jim Dick and Teddy Carpenter.
