David was born on December 22, 1961, to Manuel and Eulalia Pardo in Austin, Tx.
David is survived by his loving bride, Tish and family. His brothers, Tom (Aurelia) and Louis. His sisters, Margaret (Tino), Mary (Eleazar), Amelia (Frank), Minerva (Felix), and Rosa; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Eulalia Pardo; sisters, Carmen DeLeon and Gina Aguilar; brothers, Manuel, Juan, Robert and Martin; nephews, Robert Jr., Robert James and Miguel Aguilar.
David was born into a large family for whom he cared deeply. So much so, in fact, that he chose to help provide for his family at an early age. However, his learning never stopped, and his work ethic was evident. He was mentored and grew in the construction trades, reading blueprints, and leading others on his job sites. He used his skills to help anyone needing a hand with a project, and his work was always professionally completed with care. What a joy it must be for him to see the beauty of his heavenly home!
Recording the times and loves of his life, David’s tattoos, such as the upturned face of Christ over his heart, were artistic celebrations of friends, fun, and faith. David worked hard, played hard and loved hard. He collected T-shirts from 30+ concerts from 1974 to 1999. His favorite place to fish was anywhere with a friend. He enjoyed the outdoors and being in nature. David’s prized pool cue also helped him to win many games of eight-ball. And of course, David had the most handsome style which attracted Tish to him 23 years ago. He loved Austin music, driving his truck, and holding hands on the best days with the beautiful love of his life.
Despite years of illness, dialysis, and the inability to enjoy most of his passions. David and Tish brought friendship to those being cared for around them. They developed a community of support with others and gave to others what they could…if only a smile or a prayer. Their dedication to each other survived their struggles and was celebrated in their marriage vows.
“I have witnessed the deep love that you have one for the other. This type of love is patient. This type of love is kind. This type of love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres in the face of all things. This type of love never fails.”
Let us take comfort in knowing that David is now joyfully at peace with his Lord Jesus Christ. He would undoubtedly hope others will seek salvation and the peace that surpasses all understanding to someday fill the many rooms in his Father’s House.
Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:1-3)
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Natalia Montanez, Lila and Lou Montanez, Ed Whitely, and Carmen Garcia (Niece); as well as those who have shown care, love and support.
