De'Erick Deshawn Williams, Jr., was born June 15th, 2013, the first child to Jocelyn Chambers and De'Erick Williams, Sr. De'Erick was introduced to Christ at age of two years old. He attended The House of Intercession formally New Zion Missionary Baptist Church. De'Erick had a personal relationship with Christ and loved to go to church.
De'Erick was loving, caring and thoughtful child with a giving heart. He cared about people and loved to give to others. De'Erick attended Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary School and Del Valle Elementary School. His greatest achievements in school were working hard to be an AB Honor Roll Student and receiving student of the week. His future goal was to play basketball and one day be a professional basketball player.
De'Erick had a different spirit. He loved God, he loved his mother, father, grandparents and aunts so much. He really enjoyed spending quality time with his family. His smile was a smile that would light up the world. He departed this life on February 13th, 2024.
De'Erick was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Cora Lee Harris-Swain; great-grandfather, Henderson Collins Swain; grandfather, Wilbert Hodge; great uncles, Kenneth Wayne Swain, Glenn David Crawford, Charles Swain, and Malik Swain.
He leaves to mourn his loving, caring and dedicated parents, who love him dearly, mother, Jocelyn Chambers; father, De'Erick Williams, Sr.,; one brother that meant the world to him, Omar'ree Williams; great-grandparents, Alvin Williams, Mary Williams, Connie Williams, Everett Reed, Sr., Kathleen Chapman; grandparents, Joyce Swain (Larry Franklin), Derick Williams, Sr., Stephanie Martin (Reggie Martin); god-grandmother, Elder Karal Fields; special great aunts, Kathy Lewis, Sandra Lee; great uncles, Ronnie Crawford, Dana Crawford, Bobby Swain, Hal Swain, Joe Swain, Eric Patton; uncles, David Perkins, Elmo Brady, Derick Williams Jr., D'ohn Williams, Adrian Williams, Quincy Williams, Reggie Martin, Jr., Devion Martin, Avery Martin; aunts, Tailyr Williams, Desirea Williams, Deja Williams, LarCora Franklin; and a host of many relatives and friends.
A visitation for De'Erick will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fuller Sheffield Funeral Services, 2808 E Martin Luther King Jr, Austin, TX 78702. A Celebration of His Life will occur Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:30 PM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 3417 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Austin, TX 78721. His final resting place will be at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, 13700 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
