Delia Ortiz Tercero

A woman of deep faith and gentle strength, Delia devoted her life to God and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adalberto Tercero with whom she shared many blessed years of marriage; her son, Jose (Jody) Castello; her mother, Lucia D. Ortiz; and father, Pascual Ortiz.

She was one of eight children. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerardo D. Ortiz (Lucia), Tomas D. Ortiz, Gilbert D. Jasso; and her sister, Dora J. Deanda. She is survived by her sisters, Alicia O. Hernandez (Agustin), Maria Neida Alvarado (Jose), and Grace Deanda.

She is also survived by her daughters Delma Martin, Diana Martinez (Raul),and Sandra Tercero-Phillips (Bryan).

Delia was a loving grandmother to Melissa A. Holbert (Bradley), Angela Martinez, Alma Farrington (Jason), Faith Phillips, Beau Phillips, and Sarah Gorman Hunt (Brian); and a proud great-grandmother to Makayla Martinez, Jayden E. Palomo, Brynden J. Martin, Peyton M. Holbert, Elyanna G. Holbert, Autumn Farrington, Brooke Farrington, Taylor Farrington, Angelina Farrington, Charlotte Farrington, Jameson Hunt, and Memphis Hunt.

Her faith guided every step of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in the Church, and purpose in caring for her family. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love, a reflection of her generous heart and steadfast devotion to God.

O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered: Accept our prayers on behalf of thy servant Delia, and grant her an entrance into the land of light and joy, in the fellowship of thy saints; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

A visitation will be held on November 29, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, located at 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX, 78750.

A prayer service will follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the same location.

The funeral service is scheduled for November 29, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills.

A graveside service will take place at Bagdad Cemetery, 400 N Bagdad Rd, Leander, TX, 78641, on November 29, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
