I’m so very sorry to hear the passing of Don.  He was a very good friend of my late husband, Lyndon Sanders.  Lyndon and I considered Don a true friend.  He was one of the kindest and most caring people I’ve ever know .  Sending prayers to all of you during this sad time.  

I had lost track of Don after Lyndon and I moved to East Texas.  I met Don through Lyndon in 1998.  Don was  one of the board members of Alternative health foundation  until he moved to Brady, Tex.

I had the honor of working with Mr. Morgan at SSBT from 1989 until his retirement. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he encountered. His love for his family, his bank family, and his community was evident in all that he did. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Mr. Morgan will be deeply missed—not only as a mentor but as a true friend.

Dear Melee and family, So sad to learn of the loss of your Dad. We so enjoyed getting to know and visit with him when he visited Zach and Laura in Alabama. He and Larry hit it off and had great conversation. He wrote to us following the visit and we responded. He was truly a gentleman and loved his family. I hope he and Larry pick up where their conversation left off in heaven.  My deepest sympathy for your loss.

I had the privilege of working with Don at Security State Bank and Trust .  Don and James Kemp actually hired me as their very first VP of Marketing.  Don was always so kind, fair and  respectful to all officers and employees.   Don was known in Fredericksburg as a good man, father, banker and friend .  May he rest in peace.

My condolences to the family for the loss of a real Gentleman. I started work with Don in 1993 at SSB&T to help assist him with his overwhelming work load. He always had a smile on his face! He really never wanted assistance but occasionally he would ask my opinion of something. I admired his humbleness. We had many good years together. Don was a a true community banker always trying  to help customers with loan needs, always going the extra distance to help them with their financial needs. I know he is in a better place right now for he was a very Christian man.  May God bless each of the family and they can proud of Don for all the great things he did.

Thoughts and prayers to Don's family. He was such a warm person with a quick smile and nice laughter ready to listen or tell his own tale. Many fond memories although we didn't know him until his Rochelle years but we do know how much he loved his gorgeous ranch. May God Bless and keep you all as he watches down over you.
