Born almost a century ago, our grandmother's life began during a time of great change and uncertainty. From her earliest years, she faced both personal and global trials, yet her spirit remained unyielding. Growing up, she witnessed the rise and fall of empires, the advent of technology, and the transformation of society.

Throughout her life, our grandmother embraced adventure. She would regale us with stories of her travels, sharing tales of distant lands, diverse cultures, and unforgettable experiences. Her thirst for knowledge and curiosity for the world never waned, even as she grew older.

I have so many great memories of Dottie.  It’s hard to choose just one.  One memory was several years ago when Dottie, Fern and Tracey Schaffer, my sister, and  another friend of mine, all spent the day in Salado, Texas.  We strolled through many shops and had a lovely lunch.  It was a beautiful day.  We laughed, visited, and shopped till we dropped!  Dottie was a beautiful and gracious lady.  She was always dressed to the nines.  I will miss her immensely. 
My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family and friends.  Spread your wings my friend.
