

Dorothy S. McCauley, 97, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2007. Dorothy lived a very full and rewarding life and her passing shall not overshadow her wonderful life and all the good she brought to everyone she knew. Married to Dr. M. D. McCauley (Mac), she moved to Austin from Michigan in 1944 where Dr. McCauley established his obstetrical practice after World War II. Dorothy was a devoted and loving mother to her three boys, Dudley, Jeff and Tim. Dorothy, a long term cancer survivor, loved life and people. She very much enjoyed a good game of Skip Bo with her friends at the Manor, playing the organ, traveling all over the world, music and growing African violets. A long time member of University Methodist Church, she lived by and exemplified the Golden Rule. Dorothy was, for many years, a member of the Seton Hospital Auxiliary and Chapter AZ of the P.E.O. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mac McCauley and her middle son, Jeff, Dorothy is survived by her sons, Dudley and Timothy and grandchildren, Sean, Todd, Teri, Chris and Cory McCauley. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2007 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial will follow at Capital Parks in Pflugerville with Dudley McCauley, Timothy McCauley, Todd McCauley, Chris McCauley, Cory McCauley and Oscar Howard serving as pallbearers.
