Dorothy was born December 17, 1938, in Amarillo, Texas to James D. and Thelma Bowlin. She married Marion S. Sheets of Canyon, Texas in 1958. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and a sister. Survivors include her son Bill Sheets, daughter Christy Sheets Johnston and husband Gregg, grandchildren Trevor Johnston and Sarah Johnston; three sisters, Corinne Bowlin, Kathryn Sharp and Judie Boothe, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was an avid reader and had a very soft spot for those in need, whether it be people or animals.
In honoring Dorothy's request, there will be no services.
