

Ed Allen Redd, born Feb. 28, 1931 in Austin, Texas went to be with his Lord Oct.27, 2011. Long anticipating the time when he would see his Savior face to face and have a joyful reunion with his family and friends who went before, he entered their presence a happy man.
Ed was a fourth generation Austinite and was the son of Samuel Wallace Redd and Lois Morgan Redd.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Redd and son Alan Redd. He is survived by his best friend Nancy Decker of Austin, sister Sara McMillan Luck of Conroe, children Debbie and Dwayne Roberts of Round Rock, Sharon Williams of the Woodlands and Terry Redd of Austin, grandchildren Lana and William Toporek, Cindy Roberts, Tricia and Mark Weaver and Tina Williams and great-grandchildren Stone and Cooper Weaver.
Ed loved his Lord, he loved his faithful family and he loved his best friend Nancy Decker.
He loved his bible and devotionals, beautiful hymns and lovely pictures. He loved bright colors and sun shiny days and rainbows and fishing in every lake and stream in Austin. He loved his life and he lived it fully always with anticipation of each new day. Although he loved his earthly life he lived in anticipation of his heavenly life to come. He will be missed.
Pallbearers include Alex Okpisz, Dwayne Roberts, Gerald McMillan, Erik McMillan, Mark McMillan, Jr. and Cliff King.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services are Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home Chapel, 2620 South Congress. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
