Edmundo Gándara at the age of 79 passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, after suffering complications related to Parkinson’s disease. Edmundo Gándara was born on March 6, 1943 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, México. He grew up in Alamogordo, New Mexico, and moved to El Paso, Texas where he graduated from Ysleta High School in 1961. On July 11, 1964, he married Martha Elva Arriola Azíos at Saint Pius X Catholic Church in El Paso, Texas and they were blessed with seven children. He taught himself how to repair televisions and major appliances. At the age of 28, he established his own business, Diamond Enterprises, Inc., and later ABC Supply, Inc. Together with his wife, they provided for their family of nine through advanced education and spiritual growth. Edmundo Gándara believed in serving God through God’s children, spending his time studying the word of God, and putting the Word to practice. Edmundo’s devotion was realized in teaching skills and finding jobs for those who were in need; visiting prisoners and providing them hope through God’s Word; and gathering and delivering goods to the poor in cardboard shack homes without fear and with humility.
