Edwin G. Price

Edwin Garland Price, 82, of Austin passed from this life on Sunday the 16th of January 2011 at his home. He was born to William Garland and Ora Mae Price on the 27th of May 1928 in Mexia, Texas. He married Rosemary Green on February 1st, 1957 in Mexia and they raised two children. They moved to Austin in 1963 where Garland served in the Texas National Guard, retiring as a Command Sergeant Major. He was a faithful Christian and devoted to his family and in his last years his dog Tex.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife and survived by an Aunt, Billie Rankin of Waco, Texas; sister and her husband, Barbara and Cedar Jackson of Cedar Hill, Texas; daughter and her husband Cindi and George Lavas of Austin; son and his wife, Keith and Jamie Price of Mexia Texas; grandchildren Chris and Jamie Lavas of Austin, Nicki and Robert Jackson of Cedar Park, Will and Sarah Price of Round Rock and Ashley Price of Austin, as well as five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday the 19th of January 2011, at Northwest Baptist Church, Austin, Texas, interment will follow at four o’clock in the afternoon, at Mexia Cemetery in Mexia Texas.
