

In 1937 she moved with her family to San Antonio, TX where she later met and married the love of her life, Olaf (Nick) Nicholson, in 1947.
Mrs. Nicholson devoted her life to raising and caring for her family. She will be remembered for her love of life, compassion for others, and strong faith. The family extends our love and appreciation to all of her care givers at Heritage Duval Gardens, The Pavilion at Great Hills, and The Summit at Northwest Hills and Westlake.
Survivors include a brother, Harry Woods; two daughters, Deborah Nicholson of Austin, Pamela Seewald and husband Gary of San Antonio; seven grandchildren, Kammy West & husband Troy of Austin, Russell Smith & wife Dana, Scott Smith, Jason Smith, Rachelle Smith, Weston Seewald, and Alauna Seewald all of San Antonio, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 1, 2007; her parents, Edward and Irma Woods; her brother, Malcolm Junker; and her daughter Sandra Smith.
Friends are cordially invited to a formal visitation with the family from six o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening, on Tuesday, the 27th of August 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at seven o’clock in the evening on Tuesday.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday the 28th of August; the time of the service is still pending. Please feel free to call Cook-Walden Funeral Home for the service location and time. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.
