

Eldon Lawrence (Larry) Catt was born on August 12, 1923 in Fort Scott, Kansas. Larry is survived by his wife Norma; children Cheryl Bertero, husband Charlie, Larry Catt, Charles Catt; step-children Karen Winget, husband Don, Karl Stewart, wife Janet. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Bobby, David, Angela, Lisa and Adam; six step-grandchildren, Dean, Eric, Charles, Maegan, Chase and Davis; one great-granddaughter, Brynlee. He also leaves to mourn a brother Richard Catt, wife Chris; sister Dorothy Bradford. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was on the South Pacific island of Pelileu during World War II. He attended The University of Texas Law School; however he made his career in the furniture business, being associated with Karotkins, Webergs, and Lacks. He has been an active member of the Benevolent and Patriotic Order of Elks, Lodge 201 and a member of the Ben Hur Shrine Temple where he was in the Trailblazer Unit and a lifetime member of the Legion of Honor Unit. Larry and Norma spent many happy hours on the dance floor and enjoyed traveling around the world on cruises and land tours. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
