She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1977 and worked as a Special Education Teacher for Austin ISD.
She is preceded in death by their mother Jean, father Robert, and brothers Bobby and Jimmy.
She is survived by their son Ed and sister Janet.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. David’s Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed Ellen in her final days.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749, on May 23, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
