

He was born on June 9, 1939 to Paul and Clara Reinhardt and was the youngest of 9 children. He grew up in Del Valle and was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church. On October 3, 1958 he married Barbara Engelke. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 55 years and a loving father to his children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Butch attended Travis High School in Austin. He founded Reinhardt’s Glass Co. in 1969, a successful local business which he co-owned with his son. He retired in 2008. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, barbecuing, playing dominoes, traveling to Louisiana casinos, the Texas coast and spending time with his family & friends. Butch knew no strangers. He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers: Alfred Reinhardt, Clarence Reinhardt, Chester Reinhardt, Ervin Reinhardt and Wilburn Reinhardt and 1 sister: Claramae Cowan. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Reinhardt, and his children: Kenny Poehl (Ann), Cindy Nehring & Debi Miller (Jay), 6 grandchildren: Cheryl Nehring, Ryan Nehring, Amy Stanaland (Clay), Heather Poehl, Ashley Miller & Logan Miller, 2 great-grandchildren: Abigail Stanaland & Avery Stanaland, 2 sisters: Vernile Kieke & Margie Baker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Redeeming Grace Lutheran Church, 1010 W FM 1626, Manchaca, Texas with Pastor Steven Fick officiating. The burial will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park, located at 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Oak Hill.
