Evalyn Carr Johnson passed away on May 22, 2010. She was born October 1, 1922, to Arthur and Bertha Ball in Austin, Texas. She was married to Charles Carr who preceded her in death in 1970. She is survived by her husband, Alford A. Johnson of Austin; her son, Ashley P. Vaughan IV of Ingram; grandson, Ashley P. Vaughan V of Round Rock; granddaughter, Jennifer Hall of Keller. She is also survived by three step-daughters, Bonnie Thompson of Austin, Shirley Johnson of Austin, Ann Stuenkel of Austin. Evalyn was a long time active member of Tarrytown Baptist Church. She retired from the Texas Department of Transportation in 1980 after30 years of service. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Memorial Hill Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sanctuary Church of Austin.
