Evelin Stella Kolman

Eve, the beloved wife of Phil and mother of Michael and Kelly, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, December 18, 2006. A native of Perry, Pennsylvania, Eve attended Ohio State University. She was employed by Dun & Bradstreet in Cleveland, Ohio before meeting Phil. They married and lived in Mississippi for a number of years. After moving to Houston where their children were born, Eve continued her working relationship with Dun & Bradstreet taking off time to be a stay at home mom. Houston was home for 19 years before moving to Austin 18 years ago where Phil worked at LCRA as General Auditor and Eve, again, worked for Dun & Bradstreet until her retirement in 2002. Eve was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bridget Stella of Lakewood, Ohio. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Philip J. Kolman; son, Michael Philip of Sarasota, Florida ; daughter, Kelly Diane of Austin; sister and brother in law Shirley and Dave Wright of Hilton Head, S.C.; nephews Matthew and Christopher Wright; sister in law Diane Kolman of Pensacola, Florida ; and other loving family members and friends. We thank Dr. Tom S. McHorse for the compassion, friendship and care he gave to her over the past decade. Eve's greatest joy was being a wife and mother, taking care of her home and family and spending time with her friends. She will always be remembered as the beautiful and happy person that she was. Our lives were enriched and brightened by her. We will deeply miss her. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, December 22, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 4311 Small Dr., Austin, TX . Graveside services will be held at 11:30am Friday at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
