

Faye Allen Hall, age 84, of Fredericksburg, Texas, passed away August 30, 2006. She was born to John Thomas Allen and Lottie Susan Reeves on April 6, 1922, in Sherman Texas. She was preceded in death by a miscarried child, her mother and father, sisters, Helen of California, Margie Gorman of Missouri, a half brother Leon Guest of Las Vegas, Nevada, her children's father, J. Charles S. Hall, and her dog Alex. She is survived by her children, Charles Leslie Hall, Brenda Hall Cason, Rita Hall Clements and Eugene Louis Hall, grandchildren Amy H. Crofts, Kaitlin and Chase Cason and numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Faye lived at the State Children's Home in Waco from age 9 to 18. After she graduated High School in Waco she moved to Ft. Worth, Texas then later moved to Houston, Texas, where she worked at an insurance company and then moved to San Antonio. During World War II, businesses needed to hire workers to replace the men that went into the army so she worked at the Nix building as an elevator operator. She also worked as a secretary at the Veteran's Administration and at Louis Equipment Company where she met her husband to be Charles S. Hall. They were married November 5, 1948 at a Methodist Church in downtown San Antonio. Shortly after, she quit work and started a family. Later in life and before retiring she worked at Kelly Air Force Base. She spent her retirement in San Antonio, Austin, and Fredericksburg, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 3, 2006, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Weed Corley-Fish Funeral Home. The memorial service will also be at the same location Monday, September 4, 2006 at 2:00pm.
