Frances Delois Brown was born on June 18, 1942, in Dermott Arkansas and graduated from Schenley High School in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Frances married her high school sweetheart of 62 years, Command Sergeant Major Brent E Brown Sr. on August 13, 1960. From their union they had five children and five grandchildren.
Frances served beside her husband as a military spouse for 23 years which afforded her the privilege to travel the world. She lived and visited many places including Germany and Hawaii. One of her most memorable trips was to Rome, Italy. Frances joined the workforce in 1982 as a production assistant at ArtCarved Class Ring Company. Many youths benefited from the class rings she would donate yearly during her tenure. Frances was an active member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and was known for her giving and serving spirit. She participated and supported the ACTS Woman Program, The Altar & Rosary Society and served as the church secretary on Monday mornings. Frances was a creative spirit who appreciated the arts. She loved to draw, read a good book and crochet. She enjoyed live music and going to the theater especially in New York City and she really loved to dance. If the electric slide played, she was up on the dance floor.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents Andrew V. and Mariah Frances Jackson Sr., her brother, Barney Jackson, and her beautiful sister Gloria Jackson.
Frances leaves to cherish her memory her husband Brent E Brown Sr, her children; Francine Lois (Samuel) Matthews, Brent Edward (Elizabeth) Brown Jr., Gregory John Brown, Adriene Cecilia (Ronny) McClarron and Ursula Lisa (John) Kinsey. Her grandchildren; Samantha Matthews, Sabrina Matthews, Matias Brown, Bryan McClarron, and Sophia Brown. She also leaves her two brothers; Rev. Andrew V (Helen) Jackson Jr., Rev. William (Annette) Jackson; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Frances will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1610 E 11th Street, Austin, TX 78702. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 1610 E 11th Street, Austin, TX 78702. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 1610 E 11th Street, Austin, TX 78702. A graveside service will occur Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542.
