With profound sorrow, the family of Georgia Reed announces her peaceful transition on November 22, 2025. Born on October 28, 1976, she lived a life rooted in love, service, faith, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others.
For five years, she proudly served her community as a school bus driver, ensuring children were transported safely each day. Her true calling, however, was in healthcare. As a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 25 years, she dedicated her life to compassion, dignity, and service—touching countless lives with her gentle hands and giving heart.
She was the devoted mother of six:
Tommie Jackson, Devion Reed, Belema Dennis (Taylor), Clyde Reed, Clyneisha Reed, and Clyshanae Reed.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her 13 grandchildren:
Ivory, Justice, Malik, Ma’Liyah, Ma’Kash, Mi’Amour (deceased), Thaddeus, A’Mirakle, Clyde III, Miracle, Zamarion, Sarah, and Kayomi. Faith was an important part of her life. She was active in church and a committed member of Mason Lone Oak Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Williams. Her love for God showed in her kindness, and her service.
She is survived by her loving mother, Mary Kay Deshay, and bonus dad, Murry Deshay Sr.; her cherished grandmother, Dorothy Frederick; and her siblings:
Wilbert Jr, Lurlene (Vince) Thomas (Latrelle) Christopher (Jennifer), Laquita Warren (Christopher Warren) and Cornelius Williams.
She is also survived by a whole host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and special cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by grandparents Anna and Everett Reed; beloved father, Wilbur Reed Sr.; nephew, Wilburt Reed III; aunts, Dorothy Boiser and Beulah Clark; brother, Murry Deshay Jr.; uncle, Quinton McCullough; grandfather, Eugene Frederick.
Georgia will always be remembered for her warm spirit, her unwavering love for family, her devotion to her church, and her lifelong dedication to helping others. Her compassion was her gift, and her legacy of love will continue to shine through everyone whose life she touched.
The family invites all who knew and loved her to join in celebrating her life and honoring her memory.
