Georgia Wynn Taylor

Georgia passed from this life on Friday evening, November 9, 2012 in a

Nursing Facility in Fredericksburg, Texas at the age of 90 years old after

a very long illness.

Georgia's late Father, David Wynn,(known as D.T.) brought his small

daughter to Austin in 1926 in a horse drawn wagon after the death of his wife, Amanda Patterson Wynn. David was an organic Farmer and Natural Arborist. He supported himself and his daughter by raising and selling organic fruits and vegetables and through his expertise and knowledge of grafting fruit and nut trees. Just about every old pecan tree in East Austin was grafted by Mr. Wynn. Georgia's father never remarried so everywhere he went he took his young child with him. She had so many memories of watching him plant trees all over the Govalle area.

Georgia was preceded in death by her mother, Amanda P. Wynn, her father, D. T. Wynn, and her husband, Grady Taylor.

She is survived by her two daughters, Alice Driggers, Golden Valley, AZ, and Claudette Taylor Crawford, and her husband, Jim, of Fredericksburg, Texas; 4 grandchildren, David Crawford and his wife, Rose Mary, of San Antonio, Lori Dierberger and her husband, Greg, of North Fork, CA, Darryl and his wife, Heather, of Austin, and Beth Costin and her husband, Jake, of Austin; 8 great-grandchildren, Danny Crawford and Samantha Crawford of San Antonio, Darylyn Dierberger and David Dierberger of North Fork, CA, Taylor Costin, Luke Costin, Sophie Crawford and Haylee Costin all of Austin.

Graveside services will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 17th of November 2012, at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
