Gertrude Teckla Maschmeyer, age 93, of Austin, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2007. She was born on June 19, 1913 to Teckla Dahlberg and Claus Carlson in Georgetown, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Martin Henry Maschmeyer; two brothers; and two sisters. She served in many capacities during 50 plus years at Salem Lutheran; Sunday School Teacher, Women of the Church, Octoberfest. Gertrude is survived by her son, Don Maschmeyer and wife Maricel; daughter, Janice Bloodworth and husband Ken; grandchildren, Matt Maschmeyer, MLiss Maschmeyer, Brian Bloodworth and wife Shelley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm on Friday, March 9, 2007 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral service will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 10, at Salem Lutheran Church with Pastor Shelly Kronbergs officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
