Helen Ruth Fedro, 87, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in Austin, Texas. She was born January 18, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri, the eldest of four and only surviving child of Charles J. and Minnie Keeny. She married Raymond M. Fedro in 1941 and they had one child. After living most of their lives in Des Moines, Iowa, she and her husband moved to Texas in 1994. She was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, a homemaker and enjoyed hobbies that involved needlework, word puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a fan of Longhorn football and enjoyed watching their games with her husband Raymond, who preceded her in death in 2007. Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rayellen and Joseph Cekuta; her granddaughter Dawna Ray and her husband Rick Inserra; her great-grandson, RJR Inserra; and nieces, nephews and cousins in Iowa. A funeral mass will be held Monday, February 18, 2008 at 10:30 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with the Reverend James L. Evans officiating and Deacon Glen Jenkins assisting.
