She worked for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission as a social worker in the Child Protective Services, Foster Care, Training, and Inter-State Compact units in several cities in Texas throughout her 30 year career. She also worked for the Internal Revenue Service during her retirement years. She loved her cats, her dog, the beach, Paris, France, and her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Dell Richey.
She is survived by her sister, Mechelle "Shelley" Richey of Sonoma, California.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of your choice. A private memorial will be held with family and friends.
