Henrietta Hickman Simmank Henrietta Hickman Simmank passed away due to complications from an aneurysm on April 10, 2006, at St. Davids Hospital at the age of 73. She was born July 13, 1932 in Manor, Texas. She was the daughter of late Henry Hickman and Georgia Cameron Hickman Davis. She was a long-time resident of Austin, Texas, and married Adolph Simmank, Jr. on April 22, 1949. Preceding her in death were her husband Adolph Simmank, Jr.; daughter Mildred Jeannette Simmank; brother David Davis; and two sisters Florence Crane and Loraine Steves. Family surviving her includes 3 sisters June and Harold Jensen; Jane Everhardt; and Doris and Blackie Mouser; and 6 children Johnny Odell and Karen Simmank; Judy and Ricky Nevels; James Peanut and Amy Simmank; Janice and Mike Mitchell; and Jolynn and Mark Jackson; and Janie Simmank and Michelle Heinz. Additionally, Ninny will be missed by her 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Henrietta was profoundly adamant in instilling in her children the meaning of family and love. She will be missed at Friday night diners and family poker games. She particularly liked entertaining friends and families at holidays and special occasions. Additionally, she had great pride in caring for her home and yard. She was a member of the Niles & Pageantry Chapter of Austin, Texas. Loved ones may call Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home (2620 South Congress Avenue; 512-442-1446) in Austin on Wednesday, April 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend funeral services there Thursday, April 13 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Don Long will officiate. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery with pallbearers Pete Lyons; Robert Lyons; Christopher Simmank; Justin Simmank; Chad Mitchell; and Joey Matesic.
