She was raised in Spicewood, Texas and after graduation from high school she moved to Austin, Texas where she worked and attended business school. She married Ed Gundlach and moved to Houston, Texas where they lived for 20 years. They moved back to Austin in 1969 and she worked for IRS for 30 years.
She is survived by children Sharon Gundlach and Rick Gundlach and grandsons Derek Backus and Shea Backus.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Cook Walden Funeral Home 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX.
