J. Don Evans

Our beloved father, J. Don Evans of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2024 surrounded by people he loved at the age of 79. He is survived by his love of thirteen years Sharon Wilson, son Scott Evans with wife Linsey Evans of Dallas; daughters Kelli (Evans) Bujnoch with husband Justin Bujnoch of Hallettsville and Kristi (Evans) Mitchell with husband Aaron Mitchell of Georgetown. Don deeply loved his grandchildren: Caden (13) and Makenzie (11) Mitchell, Allie (8) and Pierce (7) Evans, and Kamryn (5) and Kade (2) Bujnoch.

He was born in Douglas, Arizona on January 16, 1945 and was raised in Houston, TX. Don attended Lon Morris College and then graduated from The University of Texas in 1967. He was a commercial artist as well as a high school teacher and had a passion for ranching. Don was a devoted Christian and volunteered teaching Sunday School.

Don was preceded in death by his parents J. Billy and Gay Evans, brother T. R. Evans and sister Marsha Evans.

A funeral service will be held at 12PM on Monday, July 15 at Crestview Baptist Church of Georgetown, 2300 Williams Dr., Georgetown, TX 78628. He will be buried at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville following the service. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
